Couple of Christmas knives

I haven't been around or posted anything on here in a while. Here are a couple of knives that I made for Christmas gifts this year.
I forgot to take pics of the sheaths but they both looke like this one.

Just curious but how long do these stay sharp? say skinning out a deer,elk or hog. And what do you do when they get dull?
