My Southern Keeper
« on: July 01, 2012, 04:09:00 PM »
This is the first knife to roll off the line @ Aiken Forge South.  I'm having back surgery in 10 days and that may well be my last day at my veterinary clinic.  One of my associates is buying me out!  So even though this is the first knife, I'll be spending all winter in Aiken from now on.  Hopefully more knives to roll off the line in 2013...tippit

Keesler style 52100 OAL 8 inches.  She'll get a nice handle once I'm back on my feet.

Jeff, that's one beauty of a Keesler style knife. Looks like an ideal size and blade shape for my tastes.

I hope the surgery and recovery are free of complications and goes a smooth as is possible. Do keep us updated, please, as it becomes possible.

Jeff, you hang tough, there, buddy.
You know we'll all be wanting an update when conditions allow.
It will be great for all of us to be able to follow your knife making advancements when you get to focus more on it.

When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

Jeff, The knife looks outstanding.

Good luck in the surgery and pseudo retirement.

would love to have one of your knives someday, hopefully more time at the forge means more knives out and about!

Simple elegance - love your work.  Choose a surgeon you trust and follow the rules of recovery to a T - your a doctor so you probably are on top of all that but just saying.

here's to a quick and healthy recovery!!
