Be tough to put scales on a hidden tang, if it's what I think it is.
When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

Could you go the other way with a hidden tang?

Might be able to put on a solid block of material.
Someone might.

Heres a pic of a USMC Kabar I did with sambar tine, stacked leather and a sterling but cap. I cant wait to take it to the woods. I looked at that antler and blade for months on my bench before I decided what to do and it came out to be an excellent fit for my hand. The smaller knife is the end of the same sambar tine and is a Swedish blade that I found somewhere.
