sealing stag
« on: July 26, 2012, 04:36:00 PM »
what is best?

my stag-handled bowie spent an unplanned night out last night, and we got a half-inch of blessed rain.

looked kinda like i would if i'd been out there.

i've used tru-oil for decades on wood, with satisfaction.

ok for antler, too, or is there better?

thanks.

Joe,
I've always used mineral oil to keep my stag handled knives in good shape. Hope this helps.

Butcher's wax is an excellent sealant for antler also.
