Latest Vagabond Hunter
« on: February 06, 2013, 03:23:00 PM »
I just finished this hunter this morning. It turned out pretty good. The blade is W2 with a wispy hamon, although you cant really see it unless you're holding it. The blade is 4 3/8 or so.

Lin,
I'm sure I wont be the last, but let me be the first to tell you that that is another awesome knife. Anyone would be proud to carry that into the field.

Beautiful knife Lin!  That handle material is gorgeous.  What is it and dare I ask where you get it?

I love the Vagabonds, and this knife is another good example of why I feel that way about the model.

Lin, I really like the symmetry and classy lines of this one. Excellent as always.  Are you using a water based dye on the stag and how are you finishing it, buff, polish, etc?
cheers, Dale

Thanks.

I dont know much about the dye, since it's a trade secret. It's sure gets on my hands though. I buff it lightly after using very fine sand paper to bring out some highlights.
