LeMiz Bowie (sheath added)
« on: March 27, 2013, 08:50:00 PM »
I just quenched this bowie and it's in the oven now. I think it will be a good'n. 10 inches long and 2 1/16 inch wide.

Awesomeness!!
Can I borrow that piece of stag?
When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

I do not know where you are getting that stag material Lin but every piece is better than the last. And the first piece I saw I thought was on the top shelf.

Beautiful Lin. The contrasting finishes on the fitting is great and the stag is perfect. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, I'm keeping it. My son requested a rawhide sheath and I thought we would keep the same look in the family. It has required my sheath maker to develope some new methods to make it work.

I had the pleasure of handling this package yesterday at Jerry Fisk's shop visit. The stag is perfect in the picture but in person it is unbelievable.  Such depth in the color and feals great in the hand. The sheath was very well executed much to the credit of the sheath maker.

Sure makes a guy wish this quality of stag were easier to come by.

I love the knife and sheath, but that hatchet head holds my attention. The profile is my idea of perfect.  If and when you start selling those, let me know. That would be an excellent to both my living history and bushcrafting kits. As always, inspiring work!

Lin, the more I look at that knife, the more beautiful it becomes. I have to admit I'm having some feelings of lust! How sick am I?
