« on: April 28, 2013, 02:44:00 PM »
Guys this is one I made for myself,to use.
I am getting much more comfortable with the "Hammon process".
Had a friend test hardness with Rothwell tester it came out at 58,wish it was a little harder ,but it will do. LOL

W-2 steel
7" blade and 12" Overall
Mild steel fittings and silicon bronze spacer
Desert Ironwood handle
Sharpened top clip    :scared:
This thing is wicked
Thanks for Looking ,Comments welcome

Very pretty. Never worked with W-2.......but 58hrc seems like a good place to be for an all purpose blade.

I know the blade is the highlight but, that handle wood is sweet.

Very nice Kevin. I like the lines on this knife. What was the draw back temp? As you know I have been testing a bunch with W2. So I like to find out what is working for other guys. The heat treat is more complex with W2 but the end result when it all comes together is very nice.

Kevin, that's a beauty!  Glad your keeping it.  I like the guard shape. The Hamon is very attractive too.
