Newer maker from CA
« on: June 25, 2013, 01:08:00 AM »
Hello everybody,

My name is Alex Strickland and I am a newer knife maker from southern CA. I have been making for a little over a year now. I have always liked coming on this site and seeing some beautiful knives that have been posted here.

I recently had to take  about a two month break from knives to concentrate on  school. but now that I have some free time I am dying to get into my shop and start making some new ones.

All of knives are made from stock removal method, hopefully this will change as soon as I can find an anvil.

Here are some of my knives that I have done within the last year.

Thanks a lot for looking, I look forward to posting more and seeing other peoples work.

Nice work Alex! That top one and the fifth one down, the big guy, are very nice.

It's good to see your work. Welcome to the gang.
The third from the bottom is a particularly well executed knife.

Great work. Glad to have another maker here. I enjoy seeing as many different makers work as possible.  Keep them coming. It looks like your doing very well with the time you have been at it.

Thanks a lot everybody,I appreciate it. Glad to be here and excited to post more and see other peoples work.

I was finally able to get into my shop today and get some work done. Felt kind of weird grinding after not doing any knife work for two months.

There are all very well done, I like the file work on the first one and the knife third from the bottom.
