Son...Same Taste in Beverages
« on: August 19, 2013, 03:18:00 PM »
Zach came up with his own prototype beverage blade. I'm sure all his ski patrol buddies @ Crested Butte will be using them soon  :)   I'm also sure they will be fancier and be in some of the ski shops out there...tippit

Now THAT is a useful knife. I still love watching guys trying to twist off caps that aren't "twist offs".

Jeff, I just forwarded that pic to my son who is a known user of beer and knives (I've made him several kitchen and hunting knives and he majored in Beer at the Univ of MD in Munich Germany).

His comment, "I hope he still has all his hands left after he opens the 12th beer with that knife".

Bladepeek,

The one you have to worry about is this one.  After 3 beers you risk a finger.

If the opener is in the butt of the handle like Zach's or mine, you should be good for a case cause you never have to take it out of the sheath  :)  I think the new owner of the Beverage Blade and Zach will have fun comparing   ;)  tippit

Now that stag handled knife really strikes a chord and I do like the forged finger guard. Looks much more comfortable than the thin edge as a finger rest/stop.

Yessss, I could picture someone resting his finger or thumb on the edge with that opener in the spine. Bet he wouldn't do it twice, though    :)
