Jerry Rados is an old friend of mine and I haven't seen him in quite a few years. I used to make sheaths for alot of makers in Illinois. Lin could you say hi for me if you get the chance?

I'm just now seeing this guys. I got in last night. It was a very nice event and I highly recommend making it next year if you were not there over the weekend. I met Justin, a fellow ganger while there and will be watching for his posts with a face to go with the name. He had a beautiful 3 pc R/D longbow with him that he made.

Rick and those who know Jerry Rados, Jerry has had a stroke in recent past but let me tell you, it did not stop him. His demo and getting to know him better was a highlight of my trip. The man knows metal.

Lin,
Do you have any plans for 2014 at either Great Smokey Mt Symposium or Maine?  I'd love to take a course from you.  One of these days...Jeff

I'm not on their schedule as of now Jeff. I try to make the longer trips (for me) every other year. I'll be at the Heartland in Kansas next month showing blade forging. I hope you can make it.

He knows more than "metal".
He knows KNIVES!!!
(He remains the oldest and closest friend I have in the knife making world.)

I have long admired Jerry's Damascus. That gent makes some beautiful steel. Thanks for sharing that image Karl.
