Potomac Forge Southwest Bowie

Here is my latest project, Potomac Forge South West Bowie 8" blade 12.5" OAL. Forged at the historic Moran Shop from a Farriers rasp. Fancy file worked guard, silver inlayed stained curly maple atypical coffin handle. I like coffin handles and thought I would put alittle curve in it for a change. Clay coated the blade to harden and vinegar etched to bring out the Hamon. Bass wood lined pouch sheath with scrimmed half moon antler embellishment.

That's a real looker, Steve. So many fine details, and the sheath really compliments the knife. I really love your style. Great work!

I like that one a lot. Great job on the sheath, never tried a lined one and that one is very clean.

Beautiful work Steve. Very interesting twist (I mean curve) to that coffin handle and your silver wire work is subdued, but really highlights the wood.
Great job!

The coffin handle profile is tough to make so it looks good on ANY knife, and you did a good job on this one.
I think I'd hang that one on the wall.
