Bowie Hunter?
« on: November 05, 2013, 04:33:00 PM »
Actually this knife is a for a butcher. He will be using it to cut meat but I figure he will have it in the woods as well. We discussed design and this what we came up with. 8 inch blade of 5160, stainless guard, and African Blackwood handle. It will also a have a nice sheath as if he were to carry it cross draw. I'll try to get some better pictures soon.

Like the curve of the back of the blade and handle, flows nice. I agree with FerretWYO on the shape of the handle too.

Lin I agree with the others, the all around design is great. He will enjoy it.

I love Blackwood and that is a fantastic example.
The whole knife is just fantastic.
When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

Very beautiful, the whole knife has a very simple elegance to it! My type of knife, thanks for sharing.
