I really am enjoying it, thanks. Unfortunately, my friend Mike is under the weather this weekend too. A day after we talked his "Junkie Stuff" Jumpped back on him and he's down for the count again. At least his wife has shaken hers. I don't rally think my bow is in need of much else, before applying finish, but with it being my first I'd rather wait and let Mike take a look-see. I'll just stroke it some more - course Mike tells me if I don't quit stokin' it, I'll have it down to a 20 ponder -     :D

Mike is finally on the mend (Bronchitis - docs say a lot of it around here has been going into pneumonia). I was able today to not only introduce friend Adam to trad shooting but also to Mike and a little about Bow building. Adam goes overseas at the end of the month - but now he is pumped - LOL - and you can bet he'll be back for more as soon as he returns.

Mike and I final tiller checked my bow today and all is, not only well, but great. Mike was very pleased with the work I've done on it also. We both shot it as well.

Tonight I put the first coat of finish on "Ol' HB" - YAHOO!!! Should be ready for compleated pictures later in the week, if all goes well.

Oooops- i guess maybe the end of next week, or the week after - I just read the drying time on the Poly.

This AM, I was really pleased how just the first coat has deepend the darker woods and brought out the lighter Hickory. As good friend Dano told me, the results are going to make it worth the wait between coats, if I will be patient - and I promised him I wouldn't shoot the messenger -   :D

Thank you Jeff. I owe it mostly to Mike and following directions/instructions from him. It sure has been a ball. After I finish this one, I will start on another one. It is addictive, for sure. Just wish I'd started sooner.

Naw - I'm like you, Jeff - all I really have to do is let it grow -   :D  

Gee, I don't really know Killie but I do know I honestly believe any day that you don't learn at least some little thing - you've wasted the day. (I know you do too).

 Oh, you know what I learned today??? I learned that my next Great Grandchild will be a boy - You heard it first here! (not that I wasn't satisfied with the girls - but it will help me and Camo Dog even up a little -   :goldtooth:  )

Thanks, Shakes. His Mother (Onesty) and her Mother (my daughter, Lois) are sure happy they are finally gonna get a boy in the family. (I think - hope - Onesty is gonna quit now -   :D  )

I hope to bring it, and shoot it some. Around the course might be rough as I would have to carry the ACS too, or have a "bowdy gaurd" to keep an eye on Killie    ;)
