Redwood Burl Hunter
« on: December 30, 2013, 10:24:00 AM »
My last one for 2013 for a gentleman buying himself a Xmas present!

Redwood Burl and Damascus:

When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

That's very nice Karl. What is the blade length?  I really like this one.
Thanks for sharing.

I don't know why certain color, texture combinations just "work" for me. This one does. I love it.

I agree with Lin, some knives work some don't.
This one does, don't completly know why ?
Size , shape , color ,style ???
But you could take it to deer camp and smile,
or Blade show and sell, it would do good, either place.

I think a knife is all about proportions.
I'd better measure this one!

When the last buffalo falls on the plains,

Just like a woman's face. You can take two woman - one with large, strong features; one with very small delicate features. Both can be real "neck snappers", but only if everything works harmoniously together. That knife is a neck snapper and makes you want to stare, even though you know you shouldn't   :)
