I just finished this one, forged at the Historic Moran Shop from 1084, edge quenched, a 400 grit satin finished blade flats polished spine & false edge.  Stained Curly maple tung oil finish.
Wood lined tooled leather sheath.

Not my favorite style, but really well done.I like the carving at the front end of the handle. The sheath is beautiful as well.

What a privilege to forge in Bill Moran's shop. I think he would like the knife you made.

Extremely nice.

I've come to love your style, Steve.  This piece captures it well, yet your execution just keeps getting better!  The sheath compliments the knife very nicely!

Thank you all for your positive comments.
I guess in some ways I am developing my own style. I continue to be greatly influenced by the late great Bill Moran, and Mastersmiths A.G."Barney" Barnes & Jay Hendrickson.  As well as the bladesmiths on this forum, everyone is very helpful and much information is found here.

Thank you for your kind support.

Not too many guys walking that trail after Moran, Barnes and Hendrickson. You have the genre down well. It takes time to develop a personal style......like Hendrickson, for example, obviously very much influenced by Bill Moran, but still so much his own style that you can identify his knives as his from across the room. I look forward to seeing where you take yours(or is it "where it takes you") over time.
