New here.......WOW!
« on: March 10, 2014, 10:45:00 AM »
Hello all, my name is Jason and I am new to the site and have been going through some of the knife threads. I'm new to traditional archery and actually just dabbling a bit since my friend(member on here) made me my first longbow and gave it to me last summer. Anyway the craftsmanship of the knives just blows me away. I actually joined the site due to the fact I'm just getting started in knife making. This section has already taught me a lot. Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but I just had to comment on the quality I seen in all your knives. I only hope to be half the craftsmen you guys are.

Welcome, the guys on this sight are truly good people. I've got a ton of ideas from the makers on this sight and everyone is more than willing to answer your questions. I'm fairly new as well and love to see all the creations guys come up with.

What started me into knives especially quality knives was a few years back my wife bought me a Dozier knife and I was hooked. The knife is by far the best knife I've ever owned for hunting. There are quite a few guys on here that I'd be very proud to own one of their knives.

It's because of this subforum that I started into making knives. There are incredible people here including some of the top makers around. Take advantage of their great advice and you'll be well on your way  :) .

Welcome, being relatively new as well, I have spent hours going through the pages of amazing work and information, it's almost as addictive as making knives, and is very inspiring and helpful.

Also got my steel this week  to start a KMG clone 2x72 grinder also. Lots of stuff in the works but at this point it's all loose ends. Ill post some pics of everything going on soon.

Welcome. This is the place to go for great advise from some real master knife makers. I've learned a lot just reading their posts.
