Dougs Koa...
« on: May 02, 2014, 10:16:00 PM »
It's hard to photograph how 3 dimensional and beautiful this stuff is.

Thanks for gatherin' this stuff up, Doug..

One of these is headed to the auction. Probably the one with the most figure, which ever that is. I actually got 3 knives out of the chunk of Koa I had. The last one just needs buffed. The best one of the 3 will head to the St. Jude action.

L6 blade knife.

Happy hunting,

Todd

Thanks... they are my 'Rio' model.

They are little enough to not get in the way but big enough to take care of an elk. L6 saw blade steel. Heat treated in olive oil. Stainless pins and lanyard hole.

Those are great.  Just about the perfect size for most chores.  I love working with koa.  I still have a couple of pieces left from a set of nine knives I did last year.  One small piece is two toned and is just amazing.

Wow...... I gettin these posts and I'm simply amazed by the talent shown on the knives you guys all produce. I just hope I one day have a fraction of the talent shown on these forums.
