Just starting to dabble in some thinner kitchen knives plus a Plain Jane black walnut caper. Kitchen knife is stretched to 8 1/2 inches OAL from a piece of 1084 6"X1"X1/4"...thin blade with a thin piece of Orange Cocobolo handle. Caper is 7 inches OAL with flared out butt of Black Walnut...tippit

Nice looking knives tippit. I like cocobolo, and that piece has some pretty grain.
You can really stretch a small piece of steel bar a long way if you forge close to shape eh? Even more noticeable with hidden or thru tangs.
