Two rustic skinners
« on: September 14, 2014, 09:25:00 AM »
I have made a couple of skinners?
That is what I call them at least....   :biglaugh:

This is my knife that I made out of an edger blade and some Osage.

My Brother Inlaw borrowed it last season to gut a doe he got and liked how it felt.
So he asked if I would make him one too.
So I bought some 1095 and he supplied the antler
I did the whole process of heat treating and tempering etc....
I got a lot of the information and how to from this site
Thank you all for sharing that info!

I did a little carving on the butt

They are a little rustic but I like that about them
Thanks for looking!
