Third knife and it's sheath [coco and 1084 hunter]
« on: December 25, 2014, 01:27:00 PM »
Here it is.  Pretty stoked with this one, feel like my leather work is getting better too.  Learned a lot on this one, excited to finish up the next couple I'm working on.

5.25" handle, 5.75" blade

Nice.  Almost has a fantasy look to it.  Wouldn't look out of place on the LOTR movie set.  The leather work looks good too and goes nicely with the knife style.  There's a lot to be said for building a knife and sheath that actually compliment each other.  It's a lot more than just building a nice looking knife and a nice looking sheath.  It took me a lot longer than three knives to even start to get it figured out.  Looks like you're already on the right track.  Keep them coming.

Thanks guys!! I appreciate the comments.  Just finished up another sheath for a different knife last night, really honed in all the little things that bug me about this one.  I'll get some pictures up when it's done drying from the dye.

Got some smaller knives in the works, hopefully have them heat treated by the end of the day.
