Clip point hunter
« on: January 07, 2015, 07:54:00 PM »
Just finished this one up today.
5 1/4" from tip to guard. 56 layer twist pattern of 1084 and 15n20.
Cocobolo and antiqued nickel silver fittings.......a bit of cro magnon quality engraving thrown in for fun   :knothead:
I'll post some more pics when I get the sheath done.
Let me know what you think.

I love everything about this one.  I really like how you do the finials without a butt plate and the engraving is awesome.

Thanks guys. I will add some more detail pics this weekend......including the sheath and a close up of the spacer for you Ben.
Supposed to go ice fishing with my Brother tomorrow, so the sheath has to wait another day.   :D

Darcy, I think the engraving is perfect!  I like the Damascus... great knife!

I tried some engraving, it was a disaster!

That is an outstanding looking knife.  I love the profile, fit, and finish.  Great work!  :)

I like the overall knife, but I am particularly drawn to that spacer. It fits nicely to the whole package.

A few more pics. As you can see I was serious about the cro magnon quality engraving. I am out of practice, and nickel silver is soft, so it's tougher to control the cut depth.......I think it fits with the antique look I was going for anyway.

The sheath turned out great.  Very interesting tooling pattern. It compliments the knife perfectly.

Wow!  the last photo really showcases that piece very well!

Really nice, and the geometric pattern on that beautiful sheath is well done, that's not an easy task!
