Knife to match a bow

I had a customer order a bow from Timber Ghost Archery with a striped Black and White Ebony.
When they made his riser he had them keep a chunk of material from the 'mother' piece for a knife.
I'm hoping to get a picture of them together.

Very nice looking knife, Karl. And that's an amazing looking riser on that bow. I'll bet the owner is loving having such a great knife to go along with it.

I was hoping you might share what you thought about working with that handle material? I got a block of the same wood as a gift just over a year ago and have been letting it dry after I took the wax off the sides (left it on the ends). I've never really done much with ebony, but hear it can be brittle. Any tips to avoid making a mess of things?

I've used ebony many, many times and have yet to see a crack.
As well, my method of assembly allows the owner to loosen the assembly to allow the handle to move however it wants to move.
I look at it this way - is your block of wood sitting there cracked that was given to you?
Then why should it crack when being used on a knife?
I did find this black and white ebony to be a bit softer that regular Gaboon or Macassar ebony.
