Boning knife just done
« on: January 13, 2015, 05:27:00 PM »
Here's a knife I made for quartering and boning some hogs. Blade is 7", knife is 11 1/2" overall. The steel is CPM154, and the handle is spalted hackberry.

Thanks Brad. I didn't know about hackberry either. But I got some really nice pieces recently and had to try it out.

Thanks Darcy. One of these days I'll have to take up engraving. It's an art in itself.

Thanks Mike. I have a few more pieces of hackberry I'm using on some knives I'm making now. Hope they look as good.
