As I have stated here before, I am one of those goof balls who prefers a large blade for general backwoods duty. I have been without a blade of my own for a while, and finally managed to finish this one up.......now I just need to hang onto it!
Here are the specs.
-112 layers of Aldo's 1084 and 15n20.....ladder pattern. Forged the hard way as always.
- Blade length is just a hair under 8 3/4"
-Handle is amber dyed elk.
-Guard and butt cap are antique textured and engraved/carved mild steel.
-Spacer is engraved and antiqued 416 stainless(not fun to engrave!)
All engraving done with hammer and chisel.
Here are some pics......all comments and critique are welcome.
