Blade Show

Just got back from the Blade Show. The crowd seemed like the biggest in years. The knives were fantastic. Always a great time.

If you have a bad time at Blade - you probably have a bad time at home.
When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

Anyone know this character? He came to my table and grabbed up my hunting sword and started talking like a pirate.

What a great time! It was great to see you Ray.

These are all traditional bow hunters. Karl Andersen, your truly, and Bobby Matherly.

Another shot of my table along with a couple neighbors. Karl Andersen and Brion Tomberlin.

This who makes me a better man. My wife Kay, helping me greet my visitors.

Our friend in common, Ron Swartz of KME Sharpeners was set up helping folks get things sharp. Here he's showing me the new feature of the sharpening system for getting the convex edge polished and sharp.

Lin, it was great to finally meet you Mrs. Rhea & Karl.  It was my first time at the Blade Show and a great experience.

Your work is exceptional, I could not fully appreciate
the quality until seeing it and handling the knives.

Your a Master of the craft IMHO

Thanks for taking the time to critique my knife,it was very helpful.

Thank you Steve. It was my pleasure.

This is a knife I purchased for my collection. From Claude Bouchonville of Belgium. I've admired his work for some time and wanted one of his creations.

Lin, after re-reading my post it sounds like I did not know your a Master Smith.  I meant to say your a accomplished Master Smith!

That sounds better!  No disrespect intended.

One of these days I will make it to one of these. Sure looks like a good time and it would be a blast to see all the knives and makers. Thanks for posting the pictures.

Lin, it was a honor to meet you at the blade show. I must say your knives are a true work of art. Next time I go it will be longer than for one day. Wish I could have got back with you, to talk more.

Good Hunting,
Randy
