Walnut Burl Hunter
« on: April 18, 2016, 12:26:00 PM »
here's one I just finished for a young lady who bought this for her husband-to-be.
Should be more women like that.
W2/a hamon, stainless guard and stabilized Walnut Burl for the handle - take-down.

When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

Not sure what the guy will be more excited about, getting married, or receiving this as his wedding gift!

Thats a great gift that will last a lifetime, great job as always.

When did you put in the Bridal/Groom registry? I sure hope I am getting closer to the top of your Good Boy List.

Beautiful knife. The takedown set-up really interests me.

Some great comments here, guys.
I do appreciate the.
Rob - I sent you an email.

Jason, take-down is about the only way I know to make a knife.
A person can always fill 'er up with epoxy in the end, but until the last moment, we can take them apart and work on the parts independent of the completed knife.
