Blacksmith Hunter

OK I've been making a few of these along the way and haven't posted them all but I thought I'd better post at least some. This is the same knife in all of these shots.

The blade is 4 inches and the OAL is 8-1/2 inches.

I handled four of these in Atlanta at the Blade Show...they're fantastic knives...not a novelty at all.

Love these knives, Lin!

Quick question... do you use a press or flatter to flatten the blade and tang?

Thanks guys.   :campfire:

David, I just use a hand hammer and the anvil. If I happen to be at a press whose jaws are even, I will use it to flatten the ricasso but most of the time, I'm in a rustic setting. Oh, I also use the smooth jaws of my vise to squeeze the ricasso to even things out and to define the step that you see from the handle to the ricasso. Otherwise, eyeball and hammer.

Good to know that I don't need another tool... just a whole lot of practice!  :D

Thanks, Lin!
