Brisket / Rib Knife

My neighbor does a bunch of smoking and wanted a knife for slicing up brisket and ribs. He came over one afternoon this summer and we came up with a design that would fit his needs. I wasn't super thrilled about welding on steel scales but that's what he wanted and honestly, it was pretty fun to make. The scales were cut from a rasp to add a little bit of texture to the handle.

14.5" overall
1095 steel

Well, it is unique. Looks like it'd work really well for the purpose it was made. Where does it balance at?

Bob, this is a really weight forward knife, which is what he wanted.

That's what a custom knife is about. Making something that fits the job and the customer.
