A Nice Doe
« on: September 21, 2008, 06:25:00 PM »
I shot this doe in the evening on friday as she was headed out to feed.  Shot was just slightly quartering away from about 12 yards on the ground in a natural blind.  She went about 150 yards and left a good trail to follow as you can probably tell from the picture.

Schafer Silvertip 57# @ 29", Beman ICS 340 Camo shafts with 100 gr. brass inserts and Muzzy Phantom 125 gr. broadheads (total arrow weight is 555 gr.)

Good hunting.  Rick.

Ben they do look pretty similar.  Great bows aren't they?  I think yours pulls just a little more than mine though!!  LOL.
I was surprised that she still had so much red summer hair for this time of year.  You can see it on her neck.  We've had a really slow and late summer/growing season this year.  Our fawns are very small and most still have lots of spots.
