cutting out two wood riser?
« on: August 28, 2008, 11:41:00 AM »
How do you go about cutting the woods for a two(different) wood riser? Some of the bows you see have a fancy flare in the riser with contrasting wood. How do you cut both woods to make them match?

It's normally done with a jig or fixture on a bandsaw and some careful sanding for final fit up. Here are some pics I copied off the internet as an example.
