3Rivers has both. A good sharp hack saw blade will do the job if you are only doing a few. Pat

Pat has it exactly, I use the hacksaw blade regardless of how many surfaces need doing.

Here's another idea, hair clipper blades. I hone the edge to flatten slightly then hone an angle like a scraper plane blade. I then mount the blade to a large dowel via the two mounting holes in the blade.  Also cutting the dowel face at an angle similar to a scraper plane helps in controlling the tool

I thought of the hair clipper idea a few months back but never mentioned it because I thought these guys would laugh at me.  Looks pretty similiar to toothing iron blade  I must admit!!!

You can order toothing plane blades from Woodcraft or Lie-Nielsen.  The blades that Woodcraft sells are from Lie-Nielsen.  Buy a book on making Wooden Planes and you are set.  Takes me about 4 hours to make a plane but I have made 6.  The planes will smooth  out the wood better than hacksaw blades because the sole of the plane levels out the wood.

Highland Hardware in Atlanta has them.  They advertise in all of the mags, plus they have a website.

Woodcraft item number 04A17 also.
I would also add that while you can prep surfaces with the hacksaw blade...I even did a tutorial on it here   El cheapo toothing scraper  , but an actual toothing plane can serve many other purposes. I even taper slats with mine.
Got wood? - Tom
