how many would be interested
« on: October 03, 2008, 03:29:00 PM »
I am in the proccess of building a ghili suit and though I know it is  off topic a bit I thought it might be worth asking if anyone would be interested in a build-a-long on it considering the history of the ghilie suit and such. let me know if you are interested and whether I am posting to the correct forum.

Dave, I just told my wife this morning I was going to build a ghillie! I'd be very interested, I think the "How-to" forum would be a better place for this thread though.

I had friends buy the first ones that came out.Made from burlap really heavey when wet.So I made one out of 1" messfishing net.I made it 3/4 leanth with a hood.
Went to a sporting goods store.Bought camo netting in different patterns.Cut them different leanths and withes. And just made them long enough to tie them on the a knot.Fit into a cut off camo pants leg.Weighted about 3#s.Fit right on my pack.
I still use it on at least 25 turkeys and if I told you how many bucks you'ed call me a lier.email me if I can help you out.
