carbon spine question

i got a whole bunch of benan hawk 400 given to me and i was wanting to shoot them out of my 50 lb kodiac magnum they are 28 inches long how much weight do you think i should start with up front on these arrows to to lower the spine a little thanks
walk softly and carry a big stick

Bet it will take quite a bit, maybe 200 grains or more. You got several things working against you here. They are .400 spine, ( stiff ), and they are already pretty short @ 28". Carbons respond well to changing the length and less responsive to point weight. You may not be able to get them to bareshaft well at all ? You can try and if not then maybe trade them for some .500 spine arrows that are longer too. I love my Carbon Express Heritage 150's out of 50lb bows. Good luck !

that bow is cut pretty center will that help

Yep !
But will it be enough ??? Just get you some assorted weights of field tips and start shooting and see ? Bout all you can do since the arrows are already 28". Again, I am guessing you will need to go to a .500 spine.

they seem to fly alright with 125 heads but do i need to bare shaft one how will i know for sure
