Sorry Cody, I don't know where to get lemonwood. Have you tried Mike Yancy or Ted Fry?    Pat

Here's some, but it seems kind of pricey.

Lemonwood should be pretty reasonable.  Check with your local exotic lumber distributors.  I know woodcraft carries it.  You shouldn't be paying more than around $10/bdft for it.  Matt

The problem with getting reasonable lemonwood is that it is indigenous to Cuba (also some Central Am countries) and we have an embargo on Cuba and Cuban products.
Also, lemonwood is only a fair bow wood compared to osage, yew, mulberry, hickory and others. One reason it was used in the early days is because its growth rings and grain are almost undetectable so staves could be sawn out of the log and they were pretty stable. Lemonwood is somewhat weak compression so most bows took a good bit of set.     Pat

anexotichardwood.com has 3" x 2" x 6' (I think, last time I looked) staves on sale for around 100.00, and you could easily get more than one bow out of them.

For reasons listed by others, I'd use local woods before lemonwood.  Hickory, for instance, depending on the area of the country you live..

I have mae several bows out of lemonwood and they were good bows but if I had access to osage and hickory I wouldn't bother with the lemonwood...Glenn...

Hi:  Go to    www.buildabow.com/billetscores.html
They have degame (lemonwood) billets that you can splice together for your bow.  I think they are $35.00 a pair

Hope this helps....:-)
