Getting Started... First Step, new shop...
« on: November 09, 2008, 08:43:00 PM »
I've been busy today with web work, rather than bow work, but it's all coming together. I promised I'd post pictures of my new shop set up and today I took pictures and posted a new page on my personal site (http://www.dickwightman.com) in the "Archery Activities" section, called "Working on and Making Bows". This is where I'll document my bow making efforts, which should begin next week when the glue and glass get here.

I moved the pages on my visit to JD Berry into this set of files, with a link on the main index page, then added the material on making my bow box from last year (neat tool for any kind of bow work). Finally, I put in the new set of pages showing my new tools and new setup in the shop... so that anyone following my bow making efforts will be able to picture where I'm working. Might not be of interest to everyone, but I know I find it informative to see other folks shop setups. I often pick up something useful. Anyway, it's there now.

Here is a link to the new bow work index page:

The link to the new shop pages is there, just click on it.

The next you hear from me should be when I finish up the bow that came from my visit with JD, then when I pull the first out of the form by myself.

Dick Nice bow there my friend.
We as archer's must keep it alive by helping others into the sport WE LOVE.
