unknown skull

i was out wandering around the property last weak a came upon a skull that i have never seen the likes of its about twice the size of a dogs but the snout is only about3 inches the incizers are big maybe 1 1/2 by a good 1/4 in dia. any info what what animal this would be

Twice the size of what kind of dog?  lab, mastif, poodle?  Need pics to be sure.

i say mediom dog say twice a coyote smaller than a bear unless maybe a cub now i wish i had brout it home maybe i will try to get later in the weak i did take the teath to show a friend

i know we are not supposed to have them around here but a big cat might be it im going to find that skull and take to someone who might know when i do get it how do post pics on here

You ought to see a llama skull; they have 'canine' teeth about halfway back in their mouths.

Try this Smithsonian Institute Natural History North American Mammals web site:

 http://www.mnh.si.edu/mna/image_menu.cfm

Look under the "Collections" menu, and choose the "Skulls" link.

Then type in the keyword "bear" and hit the "visual search" button.

You can try this for any mammal skull.
