Whatz a Meare Heath style Bow?

Saw it refered to in an old old thread, and was just wondering-- Is it a self-bow?  What is its design?  Iam always looking for something new, to try and build. Meare Heath style???? Anybody?

The Meare Heath is an ancient bow found in Britain I believe. The limbs are wide most of its length and taper to the tips. Paul Comstock's book "The Bent Stick" talks about this style bow design for white woods and his chapter in TBBII, "Ancient European Bows" will give you some insight into the Meare Heath bows.
