about juniper bows

just wondering if any one has made a juniper bow.my question is.do i need to sinew back the bow.thanks john

It would be best to sinew back it.Sinew backed Juniper can result in a rocket launcher.

It can also result in severe damage! Wear breathing aparatus when you're working with juniper, nasty poisonous stuff! Makes a lovely bow though.

I would recommend some sort of backing. It is a fast wood, but can be quite brittle in my experience.

Where can a flatland Yank find a juniper stave? I've seen 1 juniper bow and it was sure pretty.

Toelke uses Juniper and it looks great.
