Hey guys so i was wondering what you would do to protect a natural bowstring? By natural i mean natural silk.

Bees' wax?
An oldtimer friend of mine uses bees' wax for his strings and even coats his self bows with it to seal and waterproof them.

sounds sticky. i have been using, scorpion venom with great success.
