Dang, RC.  I went to that same WMA this time last year with a buddy of mine and hunted for five days.  We saw hog tracks and scat galore, but never a hog!  How do you do it?

I wish you'd write a "How To" on hog hunting in the trackless swamps of Georgia for the rest of us smucks, since you're obviously the Zen Master at it.

Had to cut the trip short and only got to the swamp twice. I was 4 miles+ from the truck in Buffalo Swamp with hunting buddy Chris Spikes when my wife called to tell me her dad had passed. So I rushed back home to take care of things here.
I hunted one evening and one morning with Chris and we were withing 15 yards of hogs on three different occasions. Two were 200+ boars with one at about 8 steps. He was feeding and as luck would have it came straight to me as if on a string and finally buggered up with out getting broadside and was to big to shoot any other way. I could see cutters sticking at least three inches. this morning I was at about 15 yards from a big sow and some shoats and she spooked as Chris was drawing on her.He and a few other guys are staying till Sunday and I`m sure they`ll bring home some pork.
Hunting from the boat has made me lazy ,the four mile walk one way had me wore out. I gotta get in shape.Going back God willing next week when all this is over.RC
