Shouldn't selfbows have only one piece of wood?

Yes, a self bow is made from a single piece of wood from tip to tip. A bow that is joined in the handle is also considered a self bow as long as each half is a single piece of wood.

I am usually not into pretty pictures, but that one with the deer in the canoe with the selfbow is awesome.
