Woods for bamboo

I know of osage and ipe. Are there any other woods that work good with bamboo backing?

I seen a bow at the Baltimore Trad that blew my mind.  It was carbonized bamboo flooring for the core and bamboo back.  It flew so fast, I thought it was a glass bow.  Looked good too.

walnut, red oak, any questionabe grain will fair better if you move it away from the tension of the back and move it closer to the compression of the belly.  you can induce backset when you glue up and really help almost any piece of wood
