Wanting to build an osage selfbow
« on: May 22, 2009, 10:00:00 PM »
I've been wanting to build an osage selfbow for sometime now and just haven't. I've built wood and glass lam bows but there is something about an osage selfbow that i love. That being said, I'm looking to buy more or less a bow blank. I don't have much experience with staves so i want to buy an osage stave that is mostly laid out and has a solid ring that has been chased. Can anyone point me in the right direction of where to buy something like this? Thanks

Adam, Gary Davis, Rattlestick bows, Chesaning, Mi. #989-845-7740. He is the master of osage ready-to tiller and finish bow blanks. Tell him Steve sent you.

I second Gary Davis' bow blanks.
