Repair Help
« on: June 22, 2009, 11:03:00 PM »
I am no bowyer!! But I have a horne takedown that fell off the trailer yesterday while picking up our 3d shoot and it got ran over by the trailer. On the bottom limb the bottom pin?stud is pushed to the side and the limb is crooked. It straightened easily and has a gap down the side of it. Do you think forcing epoxy into the hole will work, if so is there a certain kind or just regular quickset?

Thanks Smoke

I'd be tempted to give the bowyer a chance to look at the bow and offer his remedy before I struck out on my own.

That is what I decided to do. i called Mark and he said to send it to him and he could fix it in a couple of minutes. he is going to put a new pin in, just looked like a simple easy fix, thought I might try it, though that is usually how I get in trouble!!
