simplicity; a new apprication
« on: July 02, 2009, 10:03:00 PM »

A customer ordered this recurve made with Cherry for the riser, I figured it would look fairly plain so I added a bolivian rosewood stripe.  I imagined a riser simple to make and easy to hold and I started rasping away and I ended up with this simple design.   I like it better than the deep locator type grips I've been making so often.

Trad archery seems to be getting more technical and complicated these days(IMO) so your simplicity is a pleasant breeze! Very nice...and simple!
