We agreed to a trade. Doug wanted his bow to be 62", 55 to 60 lbs at 27".
He said he wasn't in any hurry, and from our many conversations over the weekend, it sure seemd like he had plenty of bows to shoot.
Well, after one false start.... and a month long break for turkey season.... this is what I came up with.
It's bamboo backed osage, 62", right and left handed, 57# at 27".
I'd post a full draw picture, but this thing already hurt my shoulder last week and I just got shooting again yesterday. It draws 60# at my 28 and I'm used to 50 pounders.
Doug, I hope you put your bow to good use on some of those critter roaming the Montana hills. Your knife did a great job on my eastern spring bird. Maybe some day I can come and visit it, I've always wanted to hunt Montana elk.
