Here are a few that i made. The first three antler and micarta G10, the last one black and white glass with hardwood.

I remember doing these overlays on the St.Judes bow. That was an awesome bow! The bow wasn't even done at this point.

To get the perfect string angle for your bow, cut only the top groove, string your bow at normal brace height and mark where the string lays.

I do the same thing as Eric except with a higher brace. Then I refile the groves for the correct brace height after a tune the bow.

I like buff horn. Most knife making suppliers carry it. It buffs out like glass.

Nice tips!  I struggle with shaping nock tips also.  I just haven't found the shape I like but this has been very helpful.  Thanks
