wow guys you're too kind!
some of you are really regular posters in my topics!! it's very apreciated!
thanks Jesse! And marty! and thank you danom:) !
and thanks Robert, hermann and Steve!
frode, after school I start working on bows till midnight. After midnight I start posting. After posting I sleep. after cycling to school I continue to sleep... that's the cyclus of the day! hehe.
Chupa, 2 a day? I already did... Twice
but usually with a bit of pre-work or afterwork. The first time I tillered and sanded 2 hazel bows in a day. But one of them is stillbare, while the other got a stainjob and finish the next couple of days.
the second time it were bbi's... don't really remember wich ones, but I do remember I finished 2 that very day. they had ofcourse been glued up much earlier, lams had been pretillered...
maybe I'll glue up a bunch of bbi's before the next holidays (in 2months I guess?) and try to finish like 6 in 3 days... or so
Wish me luck!
Bjansen, this was no. 38, no.39 is now finished and no. 40 is almost done... no.40 will be the last one in this session. After that I'll start working a little on school, get back to fitness, and make a bow a week, or so. Instead of one for every day
Hey Okie!
I usually cut grooves in the sides for tillering. The bows are under much more stress, because of the higher actual drawweight and the lower brace. But none of my lam bows have fully cut sidegrooves. Haven't had troubles yet, but I'll think about what you said!
Tom, thank you! I'm a bit too lazy for so much sanding, hehe :p My beltsander is only small!
thanks don
