Brock, you mean you're gonna try backing a bow with bloodwood? Sounds terrific! As I can't test it myself, I'm happy somebody else can (and will)  :notworthy:

HAHA  NO  WHAT I MEAN  IS A TRI LAM  MAYBE HICKORY  STRIP   BLOOD WOOD IN CENTER  AND ANOTHER BELLY WOOD  THATS A TRI LAM  MAYBE WILL RUN THE BLOODWOOD THRU MY JOINTER THEN DRUM SANDER  TAPPER IT A BIT  THEN GLUE IT  UP ELB   STYLE IM THINKIN  KIND A   A TRI LAM ELB  HERE AS THE BLOOD WOOD STRIPS I  HAVE ARE 80 LONG HA BROCK

Has anyone tried Blood wood for belly wood in a R/D with bamboo backing?  I want 65#

I have a bamboo backed bloodwood R/D made by JD, its probably the best bow I have.  Mine is in the upper 50's, but I'm sure 65 is well within its range.

I have a very good straight grained board of blood wood. Probably get at laest 4 good cores out of it, may 6 or so if I do a couple trilams which I do plan on doing.

 Probably gonna be boo backed with osage belly R/D. Got so many bows I want to build I don't know which one to start on next.

any wood bow I pick off the rack.
