You could wrap the limb with sinew or rawhide at that point that it's lifting off or you could try running some thin superglue into the developing splinter. Really a nice looking bow! Of course there is a bunch of strain on those limbs with that profile and drawn to 30"!!!!!! I think I'd wear a hard hat with that one! But very cool! Hope it works out for you. Good luck, Matt

Denny I have an osage selfbow that started a small crack above the handle. It was wrapped with sinew over 10 years ago and has loosed prolly close to 3000 shots since.
Wrap it and try it. You have nuthin to lose. If it works then wrap the other limb for decorative purposes.

I have a Cane Dragon, by Vinson Minor that developed a splinter in the backing. Vinson added a thin rawhide backing over the entire back and 4 years later it is still sound. Pat

I've been wondering the same thing. A couple of years ago I was over at Mike Schwister's place tring to final tiller a BBO and the boo came apart at one of the nodes.
I have injected it with superglue and was pondering whether I could sinew back the thing over the boo. maybe grind down all the nodes first?? or just leave them as is and apply the sinew?
whattaya think?

I would not add sinew to the whole bow back. A wrap around a troubled area but not the whole bow. Pat

So just backing it will not work? Just wrap the affected area.

Backing it might work(I have no experience with backing boo with sinew) but it is not necessary. Also you will be adding extra weight(physical) to your limbs that will slow it down and possibly cause hand shock. Pat
